Dan Joos
Dan has many years of experience training people to reach their goals. After his introduction to the Bay Area, he joined Foothill College and then Santa Clara University as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for Men's Water Polo. At Santa Clara University, Dan's program helped to propel them to top 20 in the nation.
With a foundation in functional training, Dan expanded to working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds and founded Personal Trainers of Los Altos in 1998. At the gym today, Dan trains high school athletes, medical doctors and their families, seniors, ex-professional athletes, Olympic hopefuls and many others. As a testament to Dan's abilities, the majority of his current clients have been training with him for over 8 years.
Dan has accumulated a wealth of knowledge from such leading experts as Paul Chek of the Chek Institute, Pavel Tsatsouline and Mark Reifkind of RKC, and Dr. Mel Siff, author of Supertraining.
Dan is one of the very few RKC certified kettlebell instructors in the Bay Area. He is also an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and a member of ACSM.
Ryan Starnes
Ryan is a Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology (C.H.E.K.) Exercise Coach and Level 2 Practitioner and an American Council on Exercise (ACE) Certified Personal Trainer. He is also a C.H.E.K. Holistic Lifestyle Coach. Ryan has a Bachelors of Science degree in Kinesiology and is currently working on his Masters degree at San Jose State University. He is also a part time faculty member at SJSU.
To stay on the cutting edge of exercise science, Ryan continually studies literature on low back pain, assessment and treatment of muscle imbalances, nutrition, biomechanics, program design, golf performance, and other topics that pertain to health and well being.
Ryan has played soccer for most of his life. He played for De Anza United FC for 10 years and De Anza College for 2 years as well as for other teams. He also surfs, skateboards, and mountain bikes.

Harry Walther
Harry is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and a graduate of De Anza College's Personal Fitness Trainer Program. He holds a Master's of Science from the Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich.
He has studied the Functional Movement Screening program and associated corrective training by Gray Cook. FMS training has allowed him to more quickly identify poor motion patterns and implement solution bearing exercises.
Harry has competed in running events ranging from 10K to 100 mile ultramarathons as well as in Ironman distance triathlons. His theoretical knowledge and personal experience have allowed him to guide beginning runners injury free to 10k, half-marathon, and full marathon distances.
In addition to running, Harry enjoys cross country skiing, mountain biking, surfing, and windsurfing.
